Your job is to bring your story to the page
and share it the best way you know how.
The Hali‘a Aloha Series publishes personal storytelling, memoir, poetry and prose in micro-memoir format. Your life’s story is worth sharing.
Created by Legacy Isle Publishing and series editor Darien Hsu Gee, Hali‘a Aloha—cherished memories—strives to capture moments both big and small, harnessing the power of short forms to preserve our lived experiences. Don’t just think about writing your memoir—do it. Hali‘a Aloha Basic self-guided or Signature coached sessions will help you start—and finish—your book.
All packages include professionally designed finished copies, and your book will be available for sale online in print and e-book. You own your copyright, and royalties will be paid on sales.
A new Hali‘a Aloha cohort starts every three months. The program runs on a nine-month writing and production timeline; if you adhere to the writing course schedule, you should complete your writing and self-guided revising in approximately six months; an additional three to four months is required for the production, printing and shipping phase.* Signature Package clients may take an additional month for their editorial consultation and revision process.
